FAQs

1. Why do I need to use an Egyptian loofah?
Egyptian loofahs are used to exfoliate the skin. Exfoliation is the process of removing the dead skin on the skin's outermost surface to reveal the newer skin beneath, and has been used for many years to help maintain skin. It is an important process that can resolve certain skin problems such as clogged pores and blemished skin, as well as achieving healthy and glowing skin. It will unclog pores, keeps skin clean, and helps reduce acne outbreaks. Every time you add a cream for example to your skin without exfoliation you actually add it to the dead layer of skin which is isolating the new layer of skin beneath from the outer world, so the result will be limited. On the contrary, exfoliated skin will be able to absorb and benefit from the cream.

2. How often do I need to exfoliate my skin?
This will differ from one person to another but as a general rule we recommend exfoliating skin once a week.

7. How can I use the loofah?
For best cleaning results we recommend soaking the loofah in water then rubbing with your favorite soap before scrubbing the skin. Do not use dry. After the shower rinse it with clean water and hang or stand to dry.

8. What is special about our loofahs?
There are many reasons which make our loofahs very special. First of all they are 100% Egyptian, planted and grown in Egypt under the Egyptian sun where you have the ideal weather for producing the best quality loofah. This loofah is an excellent skin exfoliator and rejuvenator. Most loofahs sold in the UK are NOT Egyptian and very hard, remaining hard even after soaking them in water!! On the contrary, our loofah is superior to any other type of loofah having thick fibres and hardy texture. Once soaked in water the fibres expand and become flexible and reasonably soft, yet strong enough to clean the skin and feel comfortable.

The scientific name of the Egyptian loofah is Luffa Aegyptiaca. It lasts longer, has more even distribution of fibres and has no sharp edges. For this decent size super quality loofah, it is a record low price in the UK and a very good value for money.
